I found a snowglobe template online recently and fell in love with it! It makes the most adorable little cards! And they are the perfect way to use all of the snowflake stamps you have (or other people's!) Here are a couple that I've made recently with the template.....can't wait to make more:)

Supplies:
-whisper white and not quite navy cardstock
-white organza ribbon from SU!
-Let it snow stamp
-Snow Buddies, Wondrous Gift, and Snow Flurries stamp sets from SU!
-versamark and white embossing powder
Supplies:
-whisper white and Night of Navy cardstock
-white organza ribbon from SU!
-"Sparkle" from SU!'s Warm Words
-Dasher (my new fave stamp) and snowflakes from Serene Snowflakes
-versamark, white embossing powder and silver embossing powder
-oval punches from SU!

Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge #18

I can never resist Dawn's colour challenges, but I was a bit nervous about this one. I wasn't quite sure about that green, but I think it looks good now that the card's done. Once I saw this colour combo I knew I wanted to use the colour to copy this flower card that Dana Grothaus had made. She has the dimensions for all the petals on her blog if you want to make one too:) I thought that I would use one of my fabric flowers in the center to incorporate the pink and then of course the "petals" would have to be leaves, thus the green (that I was afraid of:) I think it's pretty cute, I'm kind of loving cards without sentiments on the front right now. Maybe I could put something on one of the leaves....or maybe I'll leave it as is...what do you think?

Card Details:
-chocolate chip, old olive, soft suede, and very vanilla cardstock
-Bazill pink fabric flower
-old olive dsp
-Corner rounder punch
-Clear button and twine from SU!

Back From Hiatus

Well it's been awhile..... but I'm back:) I spent last weekend crafting with my sister and her friends in Chase and gots tons done!! Finally found my groove again!....Now I just have to keep it going. It was a ton of fun, and I loved playing with everyone else's stamp sets. I'm going to be posting the cards and pages that I made last weekend over the next few days. Here's a couple of the cards I made

I loved Card Patterns Sketch #33 so much the last time that I couldn't resist using it again:) I used Old olive, very vanilla and some tree pp scrap that I had on hand. The tree image was stamped in old olive using SU!'s Trim the Tree stamp set. The sentiment "warm winter wishes" is from SU!'s The More the Merrier. I put silver brads in as some of the dots on the tree and topped it off with some old olive striped grosgrain ribbon. I love the trees in this set....alas...it is retired....but that's what is fun about using other peoples' stuff!

The second card I made using Clean and Simple's Fall
to Layout #57. I think it's pretty cute, but it was a lot of work! I used chocolate chip, very vanilla, and soft suede. The deer images and the "Merry Christmas" sentiment were stamped in chocolate chip onto very vanilla. The Deers were from SU!'s Deer Friends and the sentiment was from Delightful Decorations. That much closer to having all of my christmas cards done!

In a funk

Sorry for the inactivity this week, I've been in a huge craft funk! I can't seem to get motivated to get anything done, so I had to go to my pile of scrapbook pages that I've pre-planned out. I had this one planned from 52sketches' sketch #12 for awhile. I already did a page using sketch #12, but I thought it would work well for this group of pics so I had to use it again:) Sorry the picture of my layout is not great, I took it late at night with no natural light. I made this page as a companion to one that I had already made using sketch #14.

I promise to get back into the groove this week.

World Card Making Day!

Happy World Card Making Day to all you crafters out there! I knew I wanted to save Dawn's colour challenge for today. Whenever I'm in a slump, her colour challenges are always the perfect thing to pull me out of it! I combined her colour challenge #17 with Clean & Simple's challenge Fall to Layout # 62.

When I saw this pp today I knew it would be the perfect choice for the colour challenge! Plus I'm a huge sucker for snowflake paper so it was a no-brainer! I used whisper white for my base and matted a piece of creamy caramel (I don't have any kraft) on top. I used my scalloped edge punch from SU! to make the scalloped border in real red. The "be merry" sentiment is from SU!'s Warm Words stamp set. I inked the sentiment in real red onto whisper white and put that directly onto the satin chocolate chip ribbon that I tied into a bow. Gotta love those clean & simple sketches! I love how clean my cards look when I use them for inspiration!
