My poor craft room has been so neglected! It's hard for me to spend time in there in the summer (it's so hot with no a/c), but don't feel sorry for it, it gets plenty of love in the winter:) I did manage to whip out this quick card last night though. I have seen other people make cute DSP with their Fox and Friends' critters and I thought this sketch was perfect for it:) I also used this colour challenge:
For some reason, I'm drawn to making these baby cards that have multiple colours in them. I think in my mind they are meant to be gender-neutral, but A LOT of pink always finds its way in.....not so gender-neutral afterall:)
Supplies: -rose red and whisper white cardstock -rose red DSP -pretty in pink satin ribbon -"Fox and Friends" stamp set -rose red, old olive, so saffron, and pretty in pink ink
Another Embellish challenge that I can't resist! And Quirky Cutesy is just up my alley:) The colours to use were sea foam, kraft, peach, and cream. I didn't have any peach paper so I decided to watercolour this little bird from "Animal Crackers" a peach colour. Isn't he the cutest?
Supplies: -baja breeze, crumb cake, very vanilla cardstock -basic black, and stazon ink -Me and My Big Ideas DSP -perfect polka dots embossing folder -"Animal Crackers" and "Pun Fun" stamp sets
I needed a card for my anniversary this weekend and when I saw the recent waltzingmouse sketch I knew exactly what I would use for the flowers:) I've been dying to use the cute critters from the "Animal Crackers" stamp set and this seemed perfect:) Hope you enjoy it! Supplies: -chocolate chip, old olive, very vanilla, and soft suede cardstock -perfect polka dots embossing folder -brown and green bazzill buttons -twine -chocolate chip ink -top note die -"Animal Crackers" and "All Through the Year" stamp sets
Ahhhh....vacation has been great, but now that we are back home, it means it's time to get back to my craft room:) I made this cute hippo card intended to be given to parents of a newborn...but I happened to sell it to someone whose granddaughter loves hippos. I guess it does work as a birthday card too:)
Supplies: -crumb cake, pacific point, and whisper white cardstock -Good Morning Sunshine DSP -scalloped edge punch -watercolour paper -white grosgrain ribbon -white button -watercolour pencils and blender pen -staz-on ink
I love me an Embellish challenge and this one is no exception:) Plus I hadn't inked up my "Happy Together" stamp set so what a perfect challenge to use it for:) I didn't come up with this card all by myself, I did get the inspiration for it from elsewhere, bt I didn't jot down the person's name....so if you recognize it, it was probably you:) I changed it up a bit, chaning the colours, ribbon and adding some texture. The colours to use were pink, brown and green and here's what I came up with:
Supplies: -whisper white and old olive cardstock -melon mambo and chocolate chip ink -perfect polka dot embossing folder -chocolate chip satin ribbon -brown button from stash -"Happy Together" stamp set
For Sketch #100, I had a pretty good idea as to what I wanted to do but I needed some help choosing the colour, so I went to my new colour coach (which I LOVE) and found this combo: old olive, pumpkin pie, and rich razzleberry. Here's what I came up with: Supplies: -crumb cake and whisper white cardstock -pumpkin pie grosgrain ribbon -paper piercing tool -old olive, rich razzleberry, and basic black ink -scalloped edge punch -razzleberry lemonade DSP -"Garden Silhouettes" and "Garden Greetings" stamp sets -Congratulations stamp from stash
For Sketch #101 I didn't need my colour coach. Instead I used one my tried and true favourite combos: pumpkin pie and chocolate chip:) It even sounds delicious!
Supplies: -pumpkin pie, chocolate chip, crumb cake, and whisper white cardstock -Sweet Pea DSP -scallop trim border punch -chocolate chip satin ribbon -pumpkin pie and chocolate chip ink -"Garden Silhouettes" and "Happy Moments" stamp sets
